I wrote this blog around three months and our group is focusing on the brand Ralph Lauren especially the line Ralph Lauren. We did found lots of datas like the collections of Ralph Lauren, the models the brand used in the runway show, the color forecasted by the color forecasting companies and some clothings of celebrities and so on. Furthermore, while we had the fashion trend analysis and read the reference books and websites, we learned a lot about color theories.
Today, I would like to share my point of view on Ralph Lauren and the color trend of year 2010/2011's Fall season. Also, I am going to forecast that what color schemes Ralph Lauren and other brands' designers might use next year's fall season.
1. Achromatic color scheme e.g. blacks, whites and grays
It is because our group analysed that Ralph Lauren has used achromatic color scheme 4 times within 5 years. He used this color scheme frequently and blacks, whites and grays can show women's elegance which matched with the collection line's spirit. So, we think that he will use this color scheme again next year. Here is the moodboard made by me and it is showing how blacks, whites and grays can be matched together.

2. Analogic color scheme e.g. red, orange and purple
I think Ralph Lauren will use analogic color scheme because designers like to use cool color in fall season. Ralph Lauren can use the warm colors to make some new and exciting designs or maybe match with cool colors to have a great constrast. Using warm colors can give a hope and some positive power to us as we are having the global tsunami right now. Those colors may make us feel happier.

3. Monochromatic color scheme e.g. blue
We can observe and forecast that yellow is the color of year 2009 and purple is the color of year 2008 and so on. How about year 2010? Maybe we can choose other colors and I suggest the blues. Blues represent calm, cool and colors of the sky and water. Also, it is very common to be used in fall season and can be matched with lots of colors.
For examples, a deep royal blue represents richness and even superiority. Navy blue can be combined with a light and dark blue that can represent trust and truthfulness. It is very suitable for professionals. Moreover, women can create a conservative but sophisticated look by matching different intensities of blues.

To conclude, I think the color trend of 2010/2011's Fall Season will be the above mentioned color schemes such as Achromatic color scheme, Analogic color scheme and Monochromatic color scheme. Also, I forecasted that Blue hues will be the hot colors in year 2010.
